Well, I have had curly brown hair since the day I was born and I still have not learned how to tame it one bit! Let's explain how I got curly hair...
So my mom has insanely curly blonde hair! Like ringlet curls and let me tell you they are GORGEOUS! But she like every other curly haired human being got sick of always having to do something with her hair. She would have to buy gel once every two weeks and then she gave up when they discontinued just about the only one that worked with her hair. She eventually gave up and received Keratin treatments in her hair making it permanently straight all the time. I personally wouldn't do that but hey maybe I'll change my mind when I'm her age and no longer want to deal with all of the gel, blow drying, straightening and needing specific shampoos and conditioners just so my hair can stay curly and healthy.
Back to my hair...
I tend to put it in the infamous messy bun when I wake up and a braid when I go to sleep it's the only way to keep it from getting to curly, frizzy, or big! Another way to avoid that is to NEVER I repeat NEVER brush your hair EVER. I speak for all the curly hair headed people in the world when I say that. It ruins your curls and makes your hair frizzy. No good has ever come to brushing curly hair unless you intend to use a flat iron after!
My attempts to tame are the lazy ways of working with curly hair, but when I want my luscious curls to actually look presentable I put in that extra effort!
Bun says I'm messy!
Braid at least says I put some effort in!
Sometimes I even do a sock bun just to get it out of my face and look like I tried to do something but... not to often!
When I let it out, which is pretty rare, I tend to be a lot happier just because my hair actually looks pretty, which PS is more commonly done in the summer!
I love being purely curly and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
